Hook & Ladder Live welcomes The Dans of Steel — a Bay Area tribute band celebrating the music of Steely Dan, the prolific American rock band founded in 1972 by masterminds Donald Fagen and Walter Becker.
Started in 2017, The Dans of Steel bring together five deeply soulful musicians — Waddell Bell, Ronnie Smith, Dave Shul, Malcolm Marshall, and Raliegh Neal — who explore, "funkafy," and lovingly recreate songs from throughout the Steely Dan canon, weaving together jazz, rock, and R&B sensibilities.
